Cecilia Hall was born in the UK but spent her childhood abroad, mainly in the Middle East, but also in Mediterranean countries.

She returned to the UK in her teens and studied art  first at the Berkshire College of Art, then at Reading University and Goldsmiths’ College, London. She first encountered sophisticated printmaking techniques at university. Since the 1980’s she has used her own etching press to evolve her passion for printmaking.

Workshops she has participated in include a summer school for Artist - Teachers held in 2000 at Tate Modern and a weekend workshop in experimental drawing at Bath Spa University in 2001, as well as printmaking and other workshops. She has also led art and printmaking workshops for both adults and children and has taught at various institutions in the Berkshire area.

Cecilia has exhibited with the Open Studios scheme for West Berkshire and has shown work in their annual Insight exhibition since 2001 and plans to show again in 2007. She has had several exhibitions in the area alone, paired with other artists or with a group, and is currently working on a series of paintings towards another show.
